November 2020 Tours
Sunrise Lake Dauterive
Despite the CoVid crisis, I held two successful tours in November, November 15–18 and November 30–December 3. On the 15th tour, we had warm but windy conditions, and on the 30th tour, we started with windy but clear weather, one day of very cold with very little wind, and finished with cloudy, rainy conditions. We ended up with lovely images on every shoot with exceptional images on the cold day with light shining through the fog on Lake Dauterive's surface. Status of Lake Martin
Lake Martin Sunset 2019
Access at Lake Martin is moving in the right direction. During the second trip, A representative from Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries informed us of the boat launch opening, confirmed by news reports. Unfortunately, visiting the site, only the boat launch appears to be reopened. The popular sunset area and the best shooting locations around the Launch area remained inaccessible. Hopefully, the parties involved will resolve this over the next several months.
2021 Tours
Roseate Spoonbills Rips Rookery
With the November tours' success, I've scheduled tours for the Spring and Fall of 2021. Cooperation by all the participants enabled us to safely conduct the tours with only a small inconvenience with social distancing requirements. Since we spend most of our time photographing outdoors, we were able to complete the tours safely.
